That’s my Boy!

Isaac apparently has been listening to me talking about coupons. Today while in the check out line at Kohl’s he was playing with a Dr. Suess Cat in the Hat toy. He asked if we could buy it. I asked him if he had five dollars and he promptly replied, “Yes, in my coupons!”

Happy Birthday, Hudson!

Hudson turned one year old this past Thursday.  We are so thankful that the Lord has given us this year with our precious little boy.

Here is Hudson in the hospital after his birth. He was a sick little baby for several days, but God healed him, and we were able to take him home when he was one week old.

Happy Birthday, little man!

This and That

I know my posts have been rather infrequent lately. I will try to get on here more often. We have been quite busy the past few days. My sister, Katie, moved up to Wausua this past weekend! She has been living in Tennessee working at Crown College for the past several years, but felt the Lord opening the door for her to move up here near us and help us in our church. This is very exciting for us!

Right now she is staying with us, just until she gets a job and her own place. She’s applied for quite a few jobs and is just waiting on the Lord to provide. Please pray that the Lord will direct her in this area. It’s only been a few days, but we are already enjoying having her with us. The boys are really having a great time with her here. And I am enjoying having another person over the age of three to talk to! 🙂 I know she is going to be a great blessing to our church, also.

My brother, Andrew, came up Monday. We enjoyed having him here for the day. I know he really just comes to get a home cooked meal, but that’s fine with me. 🙂

Hudson will be turning one year old this Thursday. How time flies! Tomorrow my mom and brothers will be coming to visit for his birthday. I will be sure to post pictures of the festivities.

Until then, may God bless you as greatly as He has us.

Five Random Tidbits from Our Day

1. This morning we took the boys to the library. They both love going to the library. Isaac has been asking for the past several day to go, so today we went.

2. This afternoon I had to tell Isaac that he was not allowed to take reeds from my diffuser to use as a sword. AHHH, boys!

3. Hudson has decided that he no longer likes eating baby food. The only food he wants is whatever we “big people” are eating.

4. We had church Bible Study at our house tonight.  Bible study is always a wonderful time together. We are a small group, so usually everyone prays in turn. It’s encouraging to hear those prayers. We also love to fellowship! The last person didn’t leave nearly 10:00!

5. It’s FREEZING here! The forcast is saying to expect negative 25 degrees tonight and tomorrow! All the schools around here have already cancelled for tomorrow. I’m planning to stay inside where it’s warm!!!

Christmas in Michigan

After spending time in Ohio, we headed to Michigan to see my family. It was great to see my family, including my sister Jillian, whom we hadn’t seen since August when she left for college. We also enjoyed seeing many of our dear friends from our former church.

Christmas in Ohio

We spent the first part of our trip in Ohio visiting Adam’s family. We had a wonderful time with them. We were all packed into mom and dad’s tiny house, but it was fun!

Pictures Coming Soon!

Our family had a wonderful trip visiting family after Christmas. Sorry I wasn’t able to post at all. We were able to spend time with both of our families and made it back home safely Tuesday evening. Praise the Lord for safe travels, we certainly saw many accidents along the way.

I will be posting pics as soon as I get a chance. Stay tuned! 🙂
