Hudson Turns Six Months

Hudson turned six months old yesterday! He is such a sweetie and brings much fun to our family. Right now his favortite things are sitting in his bouncer or highchair, being loved on, chewing on his hands, and playing with his toys. He also loves to watch his older brother, is quite interested in all of Isaac’s toys, and laughs harder at Isaac’s funny antics than at anything else. Hudson will return a smile to nearly anyone. We think he’s adorable, what do you think? :)

An Excellent Read

I just finished reading “Jungle Pilot”, a biography about Nate Saint, the martyred missionary to Ecuador. I was intrigued, challenged, and blessed by this telling of his life. A life wholly given to Christ.

You can get a free copy of this book here.

In the Waiting Room

This week the Lord provided a job for Adam to help us pay the bills while we continue to seek for the church He has for us. While we are thankful that the Lord has cared for us this way, it has also been a bit discouraging to realize we are once again in the “waiting room”. Through the past month we have seen the Lord care for our needs in so many unexpected ways, and to Him we give much praise and thanks. Please continue to pray for our family as we wait upon the Lord and His timing.

 Philippians 4:19

”But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Home Again

Our travel weary family returned home last night about midnight. There is something so sweet about sleeping in your own bed after being away! But we did have a wonderful time visiting the Boomershine’s in Tennessee. And for those of you who know Chrissy, you know that she was a wonderful and thoughtful hostess caring for every little need we may have had.

Here is Karsten holding Hudson. He was a little bigger than Karsten was expecting! :)

Here are Knox and Hudson. They are exactly one week apart, Hudson is the older.

Saturday morning we went to Centenial Park in Nashville. I had forgotten how hot and humid it gets in the south! Even though it was dreadfully hot, we had a great time, and I got some good pictures of our adventures.

Saturday afternoon Isaac started running a fever and was feeling pretty sick. Later that night Ryan started feeling ill. So Sunday Chrissy stayed home with both Ryan and Isaac, while Adam and I took Hudson and their three older boys to church with us. Normally I wouldn’t want to leave Isaac when he is sick, but he loves Chrissy and I knew he would be just fine with her doting on him.

We left Sunday afternoon to head home. Isaac slept alot of the ride home. This morning he woke up doing much better, so thankfully he seems to be on the mend.

Thank you to Ryan and Chrissy, and the Gages, for a great weekend!

Fun Times in Tennessee

We have been enjoying our time here visiting with the Boomershine’s. Isaac is having a grand time with all these boys for playmates! Hudson is being a sweetie as usual, pouring on the smiles to anyone who pays attention to him.

Here are a few pictures of the boys in their seats on our way down here.

Linc and Isaac showing their wild side.

The big boys had a great time playing outside in the pool today.

taking time for a yummy treat…

being a ham, as usual…

Boomershine’s pastor took Adam and I out for dinner tonight. Ryan and Chrissy had Isaac, the two Gage boys, plus their own. (Hudson went with us.) It was a house full of boys!

We made it!

We arrived safe and sound in Tennessee. We are enjoying visiting with the Boomershine’s and meeting their Pastor and his family. Isaac is having the time of his life with all these boys as playmates! :) I will try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Heading South

We will be leaving tomorrow morning for Tennessee to visit our friends Ryan and Chrissy Boomershine for the weekend. Be assured I will take my camera and post pics of the trip when I get a chance! :)

Sweet Reminders of God’s Goodness

Here are a few recent pictures of the boys. They are such sweet reminders to me of God’s love and goodness. In the midst of hard times I can look at their little faces and see how truly blessed I am. What treasures the Lord has entrusted to us!

Sketch of Isaac

Check out the picture that my brother Levi drew of Isaac. My mom scanned it and posted it here.

Celebrating July 4th with Family

We had quite a family get together for July 4th this year. My sister Katie came up from Tennessee, my Uncle Brad and Aunt Carol from Wyoming, and my cousin Ann and her daughter Rachel from Montana were there also! Add in another Aunt and Uncle and my sister Devin and her husband, plus my parents, my siblings, Grandma,  Adam and I and our boys and we had a houseful!

The Lord gave us wonderful weather, family, and a free country in which to enjoy it - Let us count our blessings!
